Moser is a Czech brand of lead-free crystal famous throughout the world.

To this day, Moser's production is carried out exclusively by hand and in accordance with centuries-old traditions of Czech glassmaking. The company was founded in 1857 by the talented engraver and entrepreneur Ludwig Moser when he opened his workshop and shop in Karlovy Vary. The glassworks subsequently became famous for its technical and artistic innovations, unsurpassed craftsmanship, and the timeless beauty of its products. They were loved by monarchs, diplomats, and artists, and the Moser trademark became a globally recognized symbol of luxury and perfect craftsmanship.

On Saturday, June 13, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, the gates of the Moser Glassworks in Karlovy Vary will once again open to the public. This traditional brand, with nearly 170 years of history, invites you to the second annual Masters’ Day event, during which visitors can immerse themselves in the world of handcrafted crystal and meet the people behind it. The craft of glassmaking, which was inscribed on the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2023, comes to life right before your eyes here—at the Moser Glassworks, which is also the only company in the Czech Republic that is a member of the Comité Colbert, a French association bringing together luxury European cultural institutions.

Extended tours of the glassworks are available, taking you deeper into the production areas that are normally off-limits and revealing the process behind the creation of iconic Moser pieces. Right in the shop, you’ll be able to watch the masterful work of engravers and gilders. Meet the true masters of their craft in person and take the opportunity to chat with them about their work. If the world of glass inspires you, you’ll also learn more about the retraining program, which offers those interested a chance to delve into the secrets of this exceptional craft.

In addition to tours of the glassworks, there is also a rich supporting program for the whole family. Music, great refreshments, glassware on sale at unbeatable prices, a children’s area with a sandbox featuring 3D sand molds of our iconic products, and the Moser Historical Trail—a visual narrative of the fascinating story behind this now world-famous brand. This special day is a celebration of Moser and the art of glassmaking. We want to show the public who is truly behind the beauty of our products—a team of talented and dedicated professionals, without whom Moser would not be what it is today.
