The Byzantine Orthodox Church of Saints Peter and Paul was built between 1893 and 1898 in the then emerging Westend residential district, where our hotel is located. The model for the building was the Byzantine-Old Russian church in Ostankino near Moscow. The richly decorated Byzantine Orthodox church on the plan of a Greek cross is topped with five gilded domes. The necessary funds for the construction of the church were raised through a collection among wealthy Serbian and Russian spa clientele and nobility.
